Carin and I did a road trip to Harper, Kansas to meet her brothers and their wives,  Chris and Tia, Curt and Teresa.  Harper is in south central Kansas. 

They all inherited farmland when Carin's mom passed away.  

We visited with the farmers that farm this land (the Pence family).  We toured the farms and got to see some of the equipment up close.  Quinn patiently explained how this equipment worked.  Carla drove us around to the various acreages.   It was fun to see these massive machines and where the farmed properties are. 

Wheat is up and soy is being planted now.  I think they told us the wheat harvest will start around June 10th. 

Both Carin's mom and dad were originally from Kansas.  My dad was also born and raised, in his early life, in Kansas.

We did somewhere around 1,300-1,400 miles (2,092-2,253 kilometers) in just five days.
