Ride of the Valkyrie -Taylor Canyon – No Time For Cops – S3 E21

In this episode, I take one of my favorite rides….. the Taylor Canyon. This was my first ride of any length on my new Corbin Dual Tourer seat. The seat performed well. I felt like I had more control and it was very comfortable.

I ride to the top of the Taylor Canyon then head back home. The canyon itself has steep flat faced rock walls that are a favorite destination of local rock climbers. The river is also a favorite fly fishing destination. Just below the dam the trout are enormous. Since it’s a tail water, it doesn’t freeze in the winter. The fish have a constant supply of nutrients and they just get big. I’ve seen some three footers in this part of the river. The trees were at their peak for the fall colors and the temperature was perfect.

The road itself is curvy with short straights here and there. The beginning of the canyon road starts at Almont, Colorado. Three rivers come together in Almont, the East River, Taylor River and the headwater of the mighty Gunnison River.

Near the end of the video you’ll see a white pick-up overtake me at a high rate of speed. In my opinion this pass was extremely dangerous because, even I was going over the limit but my guess is that he was doing 65-70 mph 104 kph. This is a two lane road with hills and blind curves. Somebody could have been hurt killed quite easily. Let’s see how this works out for him.

This episode is dedicated to my brothers and sisters on the Honda F6C Forum https://www.f6cforum.com/ It’s an online forum for Valkyrie owners. If you like my video, please give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel.

Ride of the Valkyrie – Cottonwood Summit – S3 E20

In this episode I ride over the Continental Divide on Cottonwood Pass. The summit is 12,126 feet – 3,696 m. Cottonwood Pass is the highest paved mountain pass over the Continental Divide.

Also in this episode, I split the window into two frames. I set anchor points in each window, then I let the camera decide which way to face in each frame. Sometimes as I roll through a hairpin the left frame will face front then on other hairpins the left frame will show the reverse angle towards me.
